Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Intermediate

 Course Objectives:   

·        The Florida DOT Maintenance of Traffic course will teach participants the required knowledge to create safe work zones on public roads and highways.

·        This course is required by Florida Law for all persons with duties that include any of the following activities:

o       Direct responsibility for placement of work zone traffic control devices;

o       Direct responsibility for field maintenance of work zone traffic control devices;

o       Inspection of the placement or operational function of work zone traffic control devices;

o       Drafting or electronic generation of work zone traffic control plans. 

 Topics include:          

·        Classroom and field demonstration of the MUTCD, Index 600 series design standards.

·        Workshop exercises selecting and setting up a number of sample work zones.

·        Flagging operations and providing basic “flagger” training.   

 Target Audience:      

• Paving Companies
• Excavation Companies
• Landscapers    
• Utility Companies
• Roadway Repair Companies
• Anyone who works on or near roadways

Course Cancellation Policy

§ CANCELLATIONS- You may cancel up to fourteen (14) days prior to the start date of class and will be reimbursed or rescheduled without penalty. Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days to the class date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

§ NO SHOWS- Sorry, but students who are registered for a class and do not show will be assessed a 100% no show fee.

§ RESCHEDULES- Students may reschedule a class without penalty by notifying Safety Links Inc at 407-760-6170 at least fourteen (14) days prior to the class date. If you need to cancel or reschedule your class date within the fourteen (14) day period, you may send a substitute from your organization to avoid any fees provided that the person meets class prerequisites.

§ REIMBURSEMENTS- Safety Links Inc. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training course. If a class is cancelled or rescheduled, registrants will be notified seven (7) days in advance of the first class date. Should Safety Links Inc. cancel a course, our liability is limited to the return or credit of the registration fee.
